  • Worked with a number of organizations, with various specialized capabilities such as large scale chromatography, energetic chemistry, biocatalysis, high containment & microbial fermentation of small molecules

Alex Gatien – Project Manager

  • 5 years of experience in early stage R&D and pharmaceutical projects.
  • Experience in synthesis, catalysis, and process development in CRO and CDMO environments.
  • Worked with a variety of start-up and multinational pharmaceutical companies to drive product-development processes.
  • Joined BIOVECTRA in 2020 as Project Manager.

Alex Hendry - Project Manager

  • B.Sc. Degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2008, majoring in Medicinal Chemistry with a minor in Marketing
  • Previously worked as a Territory Manager/Account Representative for a beverage distribution company in Atlantic Canada, and has experience in business to business as well as retail sales

Maryam Khodadadi – Project Manager

  • Ph.D. in Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry from McGill University (2012).
  • Continued at McGill for the completion of her Postdoc studies. Her research work was focused on the biosynthesis of products such as prebiotics, and β-Glucans through the valorization of industrial waste streams.
  • Over 12 years of experience in the innovation and biosynthesis of nutraceuticals and bioactive molecules, microalgal fermentation, process scale-up and analytical chemistry.
  • Joined BIOVECTRA’s Project Management team in March 2020.

Mitch Malboeuf – Project Manager

  • C.E.T. in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Ontario, Canada (2011)
  • Has 10 years of experience in the Aerospace, Food & Beverage (Brewery) and Pharmaceutical industries as Manufacturing Engineer Planner and Project Manager
  • Joined BIOVECTRA in 2020 as Project Manager

Jimmy Rowley – Project Manager

  • MSc in Chemistry from UPEI.
  • Has previous experience in sales and has experience running small businesses.
  • Previous worked with companies in developing projects from Pilot scale to commercial scale.
  • Joined BioVectra in 2014 and has held roles in Manufacturing and Process Transfer/Scale-Up as well as assignments with Fermentation and R&D.
  • Has worked on various projects including High Potent, microbial ferments, and a number of Synthetic processes.
  • Promoted to Project Manager in 2019.

Oliver Technow - Chief Executive Officer

  • Industry Master Degree from Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce, Frankfurt Germany.
  • More than 20 years of global pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Held numerous leadership positions in commercial development, marketing and brand management, and lifecycle management and has extensive product launch and market access expertise in Europe and North America.
  • In 1997, joined Eisai GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany and in 2002, was appointed Director, CNS Business Unit; in 2006, was appointed Vice President, Head of Global Marketing for Eisai Inc. in Woodcliff Lake, NJ;  in 2011, was appointed Vice President, Established Products Business Unit; in 2013, was appointed President & General Manager for Eisai Limited in Mississauga, ON.
