Doe & Ingalls, a leading chemical services provider, and BioVectra, a specialized cGMP manufacturer of API’s and bioprocessing materials, jointly announced today the renewal and expansion of their partnership agreement.  The new 3-year agreement names Doe & Ingalls the exclusive distribution partner for BioVectra bioprocessing reagents in the United States and Puerto Rico.

2011-01-14 - BioVectra Expansion of cGMP Contract Fermentation Capacity Nears Completion
In response to increasing client demand, BioVectra Inc. says it is completing final qualification on a capacity expansion of its cGMP microbial contract fermentation services at its facility in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The new manufacturing suite will be available for clinical production of fermentation API’s in March, 2011.

2010-10-06 - Dr. Regis Duffy honoured as recipient of the Order of Prince Edward Island
The honour is awarded as a means of recognizing those Islanders who have shown individual excellence or outstanding leadership in their community and in their chosen occupation or profession. It is the highest honour that can be accorded to a citizen of the Province. It is awarded annually following a public nomination process with not more than three recipients being selected by an independent nine-person Advisory Council each year. Insignia of the Order will be presented by Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor at a special investiture ceremony on October 6th at Government House, Charlottetown.

2009-09-22 - BioVectra announces Oncolix Inc. signs manufacturing and investment agreement
BioVectra, Inc., a cGMP manufacturing and development partner in Charlottetown, PE, Canada, announces that it has reached an agreement with Oncolix Inc., a biopharmaceutical company based in Houston, Texas, to manufacture ProlantaTM for human clinical testing. As part of this agreement, BioVectra will be investing $1.5 million in Oncolix. Prolanta is a targeted therapeutic protein under development for the treatment of breast and ovarian cancer.
