Student Research Positions

BioVectra Inc. has summer research positions available for the period between May and August 2008.  ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR NSERC SUPPORT TO BE CONSIDERED.

Located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, BioVectra Inc. is a biochemical manufacturer, developing and manufacturing a range of specialty and fine chemicals, advanced intermediates, protein engineering systems, enzymes and biomolecules, as well as providing custom synthesis and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical industry.

Student Organic Chemist
The position will involve the design, synthesis and characterization or organic compounds, participation in the scale-up of laboratory reactions and the use of modern analytical techniques.  Courses and laboratory work in organic chemistry would be considered an asset. 

Student Analytical Chemist
The position will involve the preparation and analysis of samples utilizing UPLC, HPLC, GC, NMR, UV-vis and IR. Courses and laboratory work in analytical chemistry would be considered an asset.
